Anne M. Piazza-Westmorland, a longtime UB employee, died July 24.

Piazza-Westmorland joined the UB staff in the early 1970s, working in the Purchasing Department — now called Procurement Services. She transferred to the Radiation Safety division of Environment, Health & Safety in the late 1980s.

She was promoted to administrative assistant/office manager, and served in that position until her retirement in 2013.

“Anne was a wonderful lady and is missed already by the friends she remained in touch with here,” says Lynda Burey, a colleague from Environment, Health & Safety.
