A panel discussion on artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. May 7 in 340 Student Union on the North Campus.

The event is hosted by the Startup and Innovation Collaboratory Powered by Blackstone LaunchPad and will explore ways entrepreneurs can harness the power of AI to elevate their businesses. From optimizing operations to unlocking innovative solutions, this session will provide insight into leveraging AI technologies for sustainable growth and competitive advantage in the dynamic business landscape.

“With the growing interest in AI and UB’s commitment to being a leader in AI, we wanted to explore how AI is impacting the entrepreneurial landscape,” says Andrew Lavoie, design challenge coordinator for the CoLab. “How is AI already impacting the way entrepreneurs do things and how will it impact their futures?”

UB alumna Rebecca Stadler, a patent and trademark attorney with Stadler IP Law, will serve as moderator for the discussion.

Panelists include Lucas Cunha, chief executive officer at Otrafy; Zack Glick, founder and chief technology officer for Zatik Security; Carolyn Spencer, founder and chief executive officer at CoPivot; Sreyasee Das Bhattacharjee, assistant professor of teaching in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; and Thomas Slowe, chief executive officer at Breadcrumb Analytics.
