Faculty, staff needed to interview contact tracers

Published May 5, 2020

UB faculty and staff volunteers are needed to assist in SUNY’s efforts to recruit contact tracers as part of New York State’s efforts to address COVID-19.

Faculty and staff will be conducting second-round interviews in the screening process for potential contact tracers. While expertise is not limited to particular disciplines, those in health, social work and human services fields are particularly well-suited. SUNY is looking to secure 100 SUNY faculty and staff volunteers system-wide to serve as interviewers.

Each interviewer will be provided with both the job description and some sample questions to ensure candidates understand the role. The time commitment for each interviewer is four to five hours for three to four days.

Interviews are expected to take place May 11-17.
