The Center for the Arts is opening its studios, rehearsal spaces and classroom doors on Oct. 24 to bring the creativity and innovation of artists from the College of Arts and Sciences out into the open.

“Art in the Open” will take place from 5-9 p.m. in the CFA.

Attendees at the free event can listen to live music, view films, watch dance performances, take tours of labs and studios, view galleries, hear poetry and get a sneak peek of production and set design. All performances are curated and produced by UB students and faculty from the departments of Arts Management, Art, UB Art Galleries, English, Media Study, Music and Theatre and Dance.

The event offers an opportunity for visitors to meet with faculty and students to learn about UB’s rich offering of art programs and the creativity its departments bring to the campus and community.

The event will conclude with a reception, with refreshments provided by Dapper Goose and music by The Vores.

It is sponsored by the UB Arts Collaboratory and the Center for the Arts.

The full schedule of activities is available on the Center for the Arts’ website.
