Free soil amendment during Earth Week

Campus Dining and Shops invites all members of the UB community to pick up nutrient-rich soil amendment, free of charge, for use in flower and vegetable gardens or as a compost supplement.

The free soil amendment is a blend of pre- and post-consumer food waste from UB Dining locations. The mixture contains scraps from fruits, vegetables, coffee grounds, breads and meats that have gone through an Eco-Smart Food Dehydrator system.

Free soil amendment can be picked up any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. this week (April 22-26) at the Statler Commissary, located near the Center for Tomorrow, accessible from the Maple and Flint roads entrance to campus.

Soil amendment is available all year and comes pre-packed in 2-gallon plastic containers. Or you can bring your own containers to fill.
