As the recent blizzard made abundantly clear, you can’t be too prepared for winter weather. To help members of the university community get ready for the inevitable next winter event, UB Emergency Management is presenting “Get Ready for Winter Weather” on Feb. 13.

The interactive session will take place from 4-5 p.m. in 330 Student Union, North Campus.

Participants will learn about weather patterns in Western New York, including the phenomenon of lake effect snow; analyze advisories, watches and warnings from the National Weather Service; get advice on how to get around campus when it snows; and learn about UB’s policies for changing scheduled operations due to winter storms.

Those interested in attending can register via UB Linked.
