UB employees interested in serving on the boards of nonprofit organizations are invited to take part in the charitySTRONG online board matching program.

The free program aims to assist local nonprofits in “achieving the highest standards of board leadership, governance and oversight,” says Molly Anderson, a member of charitySTRONG’s advisory council and executive director of the Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (CLOE) in the School of Management. Anderson and School of Management Dean Paul Tesluk are founding members of charitySTRONG.

CharitySTRONG’s online board-matching program builds a bridge between those who want to serve on boards and organizations looking for diverse talent. It also offers director education resources to ensure that new and current board members understand their responsibilities.

UB staff, faculty, students, and alumni would make great board candidates,” Anderson says.
