“Highway of Tears,” a documentary about the missing and murdered Aboriginal women along Canada’s Highway 6, is this year’s offering in the School of Social Work’s annual International Film Festival being held on March 28.

The film will be screened at 6 p.m. in 101 Baldy Hall, North Campus.

This year’s festival is entitled “Indigenous Populations and Human Rights in North America.” It is free and open to faculty, staff, students and members of the community.

Additional video commentary on the topic of human rights and Indigenous populations will follow the screening of “Highway of Tears.”

Agnes Williams, coordinator of Indigenous Women’s Initiatives, a local group whose goal is to further the empowerment of indigenous women, their families and nations, will moderate a discussion.
