UB faculty and staff who have a child or other relative in the final stages of the college-decision process can get some insider tips at a special session that should make navigating the final weeks to the May 1 deposit deadline a bit smoother.

Two sessions of “Admitted: Now What? Helping you and your child navigate through the final stages of the college-choice process” are scheduled: March 28 in 107 Capen Hall (the Honors College), North Campus, and March 30 in 100 Allen Hall, South Campus. Both sessions are free and will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch.

Lee Melvin, vice provost for enrollment management, and John Gottardy, director of financial aid, will talk about topics and concerns that parents and students need to resolve by the May 1 enrollment-deposit date. Melvin and Gottardy also will answer specific questions from attendees.

Space is limited and those wishing to attend are asked to register online.
