United University Professions (UUP) members may nominate themselves to receive a discretionary award by forwarding a self-nomination to their department chair or director by Sept. 2.

The discretionary awards, to be paid in the fall, will recognize employees for excellence in performance between July 1, 2015, and June 30, 2016.

While there is no required form for a self-nomination, eligible workers can submit a memorandum outlining the rationale for the request, along with any attachments supporting the request.

The awards will be distributed as a lump-sum payment and will not be added to an employee’s base salary.
