Unplug, unwind during Daylight Hour

Members of the UB community are invited to join their SUNY colleagues in showing the impact we all can have on reducing energy consumption by taking part in Daylight Hour on Friday.

Participants are asked to turn off the lights and power down unessential equipment, such as computers and printers, from noon to 1 p.m. on June 19 and enjoy the great outdoors — take the time to go for a walk, eat lunch outside or just spend time unplugged from electronics.

The idea behind Daylight Hour is to demonstrate the availability of daylight, promote energy conservation and show our collective impact by living healthier, more sustainable lives.
