Rocks, sweeping, ends, in-turns and draw weights.

These terms all apply to curling, that mysterious winter sport you may have first encountered while watching the Winter Olympics. Learn about the sport — often referred to as “chess on ice”— and have fun with your UB colleagues at the UB Curling Event Jan. 23 at Riverworks.

The free event, open to all UB students, faculty, staff and alumni, will take place from 6-8 p.m. at Riverworks, 359 Ganson St., Buffalo.

Those attending should register online.
