Event to benefit Special Olympics

Members of the UB Police Department will be soliciting donations for the Special Olympics of New York during a “Law and Orders” event on March 14 at the Tully’s restaurant at 1459 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

From 5-8 p.m., the UB officers will team up with Special Olympics athletes and Tully’s staff to wait tables, bus tables, wash dishes, host and perform other tasks at the restaurant to solicit donations for the Special Olympics.

Earlier in the day, the owner of Tully’s will present Special Olympics with a check for $1,000 and announce the partnership between Tully’s, law enforcement and the Special Olympics.
