It is a watershed moment in the evolution of internet technology. Blockchain technologies are leading us from centralized to decentralized applications and changing the way that people and businesses interact. The UB Blockchain ThinkLab collaborates with industry and the community in shaping our future.

Learning Opportunities

Coursera Blockchain MOOC

The Department of Computer Science (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) has partnered with industry and UB's Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE) to produce a four-course blockchain specialization, offered as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the Coursera platform.

BLOCKCHAIN IN ACTION

Blockchain in Action teaches  how to design and build blockchain-based decentralized apps, and is written in a clear, jargon-free style. First, you'll get an overview of how blockchain works. Next, you'll code your first smart contract using Ethereum and Solidity, adding a web interface, trust validation, and other features until your app is ready for deployment.
