Voyer elected to national office in pharmacy leadership society

Kira Voyer, PharmD '21 candidate at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, was elected as one of the Members-at-Large of Phi Lambda Sigma, the pharmacy leadership society, on April 19, 2020, during the 45th House of Delegates.

Kira’s term begins immediately and will conclude in the Summer of 2021 at the 46th House of Delegates.

In her speech to the House of Delegates, Kira said, “I want to make our mission and our organization more known on campuses to encourage pharmacy leadership that will continue outside of pharmacy schools, into our future careers.”

After learning of Kira’s election, Dr. Jordan Ballou, Phi Lambda Sigma National President, stated, “I look forward to working with Kira this year. She is going to play such an important role as we move into our stand alone Annual Meeting and helping to further engage all of our members. Her commitment to servant leadership is so inspiring and I know she is going to have an amazing year in this role.”

Phi Lambda Sigma was established in 1965 to develop leadership qualities among pharmacy students and pharmacists and to recognize leaders in the profession.
