Cap Contest

All eligible entries will be voted on by the Office of Alumni Engagement and volunteers from the Future Alumni Network and the UB Alumni Association.

This contest is open to all registered University at Buffalo undergraduate, graduate, post-doc or professional school students who are age 18 or older and who are graduating during the spring commencement ceremonies. Participants may submit one handcrafted grad cap design no larger than 10-by-10 inches. Images designed entirely on a computer, or purchased, will not be eligible. Cap designs and photos containing any content that does not adhere to community guidelines, including nudity or references to drugs or alcohol, will not be considered. All entries submitted become the property of University at Buffalo. By participating in this contest, you grant UB permission to use your entire submitted photo and content for design, marketing, advertising and communications purposes. Information provided will not be retained, sold or used in any way other than that which is specifically set forth in these rules.

University at Buffalo may cancel this contest in the event of technical problems or electronic attacks affecting the administration of the contest. Any contest entrant found to intentionally interfere with the operation of the contest, or whose designs are found to be not original, will be disqualified. By your participation in this contest, you agree to release UB from any liability related to the contest or your participation in the contest. UB is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed or misdirected prizes. Prize(s) may not be redeemed for cash. Prizes may be delivered at a later date. International prize delivery is not guaranteed and will be on an individual basis.
