SEESL is accreditied by the International Accreditation Service (IAS; www.iasonline.org) as an Approved Testing Laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025: "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories". SEESL's accreditation scope also includes ASME NQA-1, defined as "Certification of the quality assurance program for organizations that supply items or services that provide a safety function for nuclear facilities in conformance with the requirements of the ASME NQA-1 standard".
As such, SEESL complies with industry-standard practices in the areas of procedural documentation, customer service, technical competence and protection of proprietary information. SEESL is assessed by IAS every two years, and any deficiencies or deviations from standard practice are documented by the assessor and addressed by SEESL within a defined time frame. SEESL's accreditation is critical to its viability as a laboratory that attracts industry clients that manufacture a broad spectrum of products that require qualification by shake-table testing under industry-standard protocols. By extension, SEESL's accreditation ensures that experimental results obtained from sponsored research projects meet or exceed industry-wide quality standards.
