UB faculty and staff can help overcome a critical blood shortage due to the recent severe winter weather by taking part in Red Cross blood drives being held this month on the North and South campuses.

North Campus employees can donate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18 in 310 Silverman Library in Capen Hall and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Student Union. Faculty and staff on the South Campus can donate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 30 in Harriman Hall.

Donors can schedule an appointment by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting the Red Cross website or calling 1-800-733-2767. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
