Several members of the university community have reported being approached by people soliciting for a church group and inviting people to attend bible study classes. There is heightened concern about these solicitors based on a social media rumor that they are actually a front for a sex trafficking organization.

As of Aug. 23, University Police now serve all UB-owned or operated facilities on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. University Police officers are assigned to respond to both emergency calls and routine calls for service.

On Aug. 1 from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., UB will conduct a full-scale emergency training exercise in and around Hadley Village on the North Campus.

With the opening of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ building downtown — and UB’s increasing presence on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus — University Police will begin serving all UB-owned or operated facilities on the BNMC on Aug. 23.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today directed that flags on all state government buildings be flown at half-staff starting at Sunrise on Tuesday May 15, 2018 in in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

According to UB police (UPD), most of the serious traffic accidents on the North Campus are caused by distracted driving. UPD plans to direct funding received through the Federal Fiscal Year 2018 Police Traffic Services Program (PTS) to reduce distracted driving and its impact across the North Campus.
