Local tech startup wellconnected lands multiyear deal with Independent Health

As reported by the Buffalo News, Independent Health will use wellconnected's flagship product, allco, to connect its members to community services such as food and nutrition assistance, transportation services, housing assistance, income support and employment, educational programs and mental health counseling. Wellconnected's allco is a centralized digital platform that links health insurers, social care agencies and patients.

The local tech startup, founded in 2021, was created to bridge communication gaps in care and to improve collaboration between community-based organizations, community members and funding agencies. Headquartered near Buffalo Niagara International Airport, wellconnected received funding from UB's Buffalo Innovation Seed Fund and is growing its six-employee business quickly.
