Diversity and Inclusion Fund

This fund provides financial resources that support and promote excellence through diversity in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

The Diversity and Inclusion Funds may support a variety efforts throughout the school, including a student scholarship, programs for individuals from underrepresented groups, and other initiatives to advance justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

At the medical school, we strive to attract, integrate, and engage a diverse community of faculty, residents, students, staff and health care professionals, as we work together to improve health equity for all.

Here, diversity is an active commitment to nurturing future physicians who are dedicated to eliminating health care disparities and helping those most in need. We promote diversity in part by recruiting students who appreciate and learn from each other’s differences while collaborating toward a common goal—namely, delivering exemplary care to all.

Our students’ diverse perspectives are helping them evolve not only into physicians who are fully equipped to meet the health care needs of a pluralistic society, but leaders who will develop the most creative solutions to the complex challenges facing 21st century medicine.
