Homecoming

Last weekend was Family and Homecoming Weekend at UB, and students and other fans gathered to enjoy the Bulls' homecoming game Saturday against the Thundering Herd of Marshall University.

A member of the Thunder of the East marching band offers her advice on the Bulls' play during the game.

In keeping with the homecoming theme of a Western jamboree, Doug "Mouth" Sandburg, 18, a freshman majoring in tech theater, rides a mechanical bull.

Jay Bartoszek of Salamanca, whose brother, Chad, is a tight end for the Bulls, enjoys a pre-game sandwich.

Cade Socha, 3, son of Bulls' wide receivers coach Doug Socha, flirts with new UB mascot Victoria S. Bull. Cade's mother, Carrie, holds 18-month-old Camryn.

At the homecoming carnival on Friday night, Kedar Deshpande, a master's student in mechanical engineering, gets the best of Ajay Nagarkar, a master's student in electrical engineering, in a sumo wrestling contest.
