Alan Selman, professor of computer science and engineering, will assume the editorship of Theory of Computing Systems in January. The journal publishes original research from all areas of theoretical computer science.

Susan Bennett, clinical associate professor and director of the Physical Therapy Program in the Department of Physical Therapy, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, has been named one of Kaleida Health's Women in Medicine award winners for 2000. Bennett also was honored recently at the 22nd annual Multiple Sclerosis Dinner of Champions.

An article written by Sarunas Milisauskas, professor of anthropology, entitled "Marija Gimbutas: Some Observations about her Early Years, 1921-44," about the well-known Lithuanian archaeologist and feminist, will be published in the December issue of Antiquity.
