Love Canal at 20 Exhibit

Scientific/ Environmental Anniversary Exhibit focuses on Love Canal, perhaps the country's most infamous hazardous waste site. Aug. 2, 1998 marked the 20th anniversary of the evacuation of residents from the Love Canal neighborhood. Exhibit places a historical perspective on the role infomation plays in the ongoing saga of the Love Canal and recounts what has happened in the 20 years since citizens left there. Exhibit will be on view in the Science and Engineering Library (SEL), second floor, Capen Hall, during regular SEL hours through Sept. 30.

Digital Messages 2.0 Exhibit

Computer Art students in the Department of Art explore personal vision and expression through digital assemblages, digital time-based media, interactive digital documents, virtual objects and virtual spaces. Works will be shown as digital printouts along with on-screen displays of two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation, algorithmic process art and interactive projects. Exhibit will be on view in theArt Department Gallery, Center for the Arts, through Sept. 25. Gallery hours are Tues., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wed.-Fri., 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sat.,11-a.m.-6 p.m.
