UB’s 2011 Employees Campaign for the Community has raised $291,417.80, or 35 percent of its goal of $825,000.

The amount raised as of Oct. 19 is based on the participation of 13.5 percent of UB employees who have returned their pledge cards.

The campaign, which will run through November, features a number of incentives. New this year is a prize raffle every two weeks to encourage employee response. Only those individuals who have responded to the campaign are eligible to win; the earlier employees respond, the more chances they have to win.

Prizes still to be awarded include two reserved tickets to a DSS lecture, a UB football game and a UB basketball game (drawing on Nov. 2); $250 on a UB card (drawing on Nov. 16); and $100 on UB card (Nov. 30).

A drawing for a “bonus” prize of $300 on a UB Card will take place on Oct. 26.

The campaign runs through the end of the semester. Dennis Black, vice president for university life and services, is campaign chair.
