The Eric Pitman Annual Summer Workshop in Computational Science took place last week. This year’s workshop explored ways to advance science for medical devices, focusing on improving diabetes care by creating virtual models of individual patients that can learn from wearable health sensors and help guide real-time insulin delivery. The annual workshop in memory of Eric Pitman strives to introduce students to the application of computer modeling and simulation to solve important problems in science and engineering.
