A group of students from Heather Williams' Ecology of Invasive Species (BIO/EVS 413) class gathered on Nov. 3 to do their part for the Lake LaSalle shoreline. As part of an experiential project, the "buckthorn team" braved a very rainy day to restore the native habitat and improve the shoreline health through hands-on removal of common buckthorn, an aggressive, invasive plant.
