Chase Murray (far left), assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and student assistants set up missions for the uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVS), or drones, before students arrived.

Throughout the demonstration, Murray discussed the capabilities of each drone, how they are able to fly, and answered students’ questions.

Murray controlled the drones as they flew throughout the SOAR facility.

Remote controlled cars were also on display.

The Newfane students maneuvered remote controlled cars with PlayStation controllers.

Students had a chance to examine the drones after the demonstration was over.
