The soil amendment was pre-packed in 2-gallon plastic containers, with a limit of three per person. The containers were available for pickup outside Statler Commissary on a first come/first serve basis. They were gone by early afternoon.

Gift to gardeners

The UB gardeners turned out on Monday to claim nutrient-rich soil amendment for use in flower and vegetable gardens, or as a compost supplement. Campus Dining & Shops offers the amendment, a blend of pre- and post-consumer food waste from UB Dining locations, free of charge. Photos: Meredith Forrest Kulwicki
