News and views for the UB community
Community Relations student assistant Christiana Johnson sets out gifts for the gift distribution to families on Dec. 20 in the Emeritus Center in Goodyear Hall on the South Campus.
Philip Glick (left) and Domenic Licata, chairs of the Faculty Senate and the Professional Staff Senate, respectively, greet a family member at the gift distribution. The Office of Shared Governance was one of 35 units sponsoring a family.
Helping with the gift distribution are, from left, Rob Mayer, Office of Government Relations, and Daniel Kelly, Tess Morrissey, Christiana Johnson and Matt Kopalek, all from the Office of Community Relations.
The UB sponsors collected hundreds of gifts for the needy families.
Tess Morrissey, director of the Office of Community Relations, is almost lost among the gifts.
One lucky child will find a new bike under the tree. Other gifts donated include art sets, a basketball hoop, winter clothes and board games. The University Heights Tool Library also will receive some tools donated by UB employees.
Gifts are loaded into a van parked outside Goodyear Hall.
