  • The TELL
Zoom image: The TELL Matt Kenyon, associate professor in the Department of Art, is exhibiting his installation “The TELL” at the Medina Triennial through Sept. 7. “The TELL” takes its title from an archaeological term for an artificial mound formed through layers of human settlements, built, abandoned and built again over centuries. A tower of fragile champagne coupes holds Roses of Jericho, plants that appear dried until revived with just a bit of water. An atmospheric water generator pulls water from the air of the gallery into condensed droplets that spill throughout the tower’s structure. Kenyon's installation is housed at the historic Medina High School and Kenyon will be delivering an artist talk on Sept. 5 at the Medina Triennial Hub. Visit the Medina Triennial site for more information.
