STEM Goes Red

The Behling Simulation Center in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences hosted more than 70 girls from local high schools last Friday who took part in hands-on activities that included suturing, chest compressions and ultrasound imaging. It was all part the American Heart Association’s Buffalo STEM Goes Red event that encourages young women to explore STEM careers. Jacobs School faculty, staff and students led the activities. The event was sponsored by the Jacobs Institute, Catholic Health, Linde, Thermo Fisher Scientific and in-kind donations from the Jacobs School. Photo: Sandra Kicman
