UB police officers, along with officers from other departments, recently took part in a five-day course designed to certify qualified persons as International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA) Police, EMS or Security Cyclist Instructors. The intense course is designed to increase confidence, reinforce understanding of the basic principles of public safety cycling, improve bike-handling skills and prepare participants to communicate that knowledge to others.
