The UB women's volleyball team closed the regular season on Wednesday with a sweep of the Akron Zips and were crowned MAC East co-champions for the first time in program history, along with Ohio. The victory gave the Bulls 23 wins — the most in their Division I history. The win, and Ball State's loss to Toledo, moved the Bulls into second place in the MAC standings and gave them a quarterfinal bye in the conference tournament beginning tomorrow.
