SA summer film series returns

The undergraduate Student Association's popular summer film series returns next week with screenings of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” on the North Campus.

In another sign things are returning to a pre-pandemic normal at UB, the undergraduate Student Association is bringing back its summer film series next week with screenings of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

The free series opens July 19 and runs through Sep. 5. Screenings take place on Tuesday and Friday nights, primarily on the Special Events Field adjacent to the Student Union on the North Campus. A few screenings will be held on the Hayes Hall lawn on the South Campus.

Screenings begin at 9 p.m. in July and 8:45 p.m. in August and 8:30 in September.

In case of rain, cancellations will be posted on SA’s website.

The screenings are open to members of the general public, as well as the UB community.

The schedule of films:

  • July 19 and July 22: “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” North Campus.
  • July 26: “Cyrano,” North Campus.
  • July 29: “The Batman,” South Campus.
  • Aug. 2 and Aug. 5: “Free Guy,” North Campus.
  • Aug. 9: “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” North Campus.
  • Aug. 12: “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” South Campus.
  • Aug. 16: “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” North Campus.
  • Aug. 19: “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” North Campus.
  • Aug. 23: “The Suicide Squad,” North Campus.
  • Aug. 26: “The Suicide Squad,” South Campus.
  • Aug. 27: “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” location to be announced, likely Student Union courtyard.
  • Sept. 4: “Top Gun: Maverick,” North Campus.
  • Sept. 5: “Jurassic World: Dominion,” North Campus.
