Melissa Brown, executive director of the Buffalo History Museum, will talk about the museum’s new exhibit on the War of 1812 at the September meeting of the Emeritus Center.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 in 102 Goodyear Hall, South Campus. It is open to all members of the UB community.

In her talk, Brown will talk about the exhibit, “By Fire & Sword: War in the Niagara Theatre, 1812-1814,” which examines the two-year military campaign and the hardships of a war fought on the Niagara Frontier, including the burning of Buffalo in December 1813.

The exhibit will open Sept. 12 in the museum at One Museum Court off Nottingham Terrace at Elmwood Avenue.
