UB on the Green, the university’s free, outdoor, alcohol-free and family-friendly festival for the community, returns for its 18th season next Thursday (July 23) from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Musical group The Brass Machine will bring its blend of funk, jazz, R&B and brass starting at 6:30. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Food will be available for purchase from Moneybags Dumplings and Cheesy Chick food trucks. Representatives from community groups and UB departments will also be on site to connect residents to information and resources.
“It’s great to be welcoming our neighbors and the UB community back to Hayes Lawn for another UB on the Green,” says Melissa Wood, UB’s assistant director of community relations. “Whether folks come for the music, the food trucks, or the connections, there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening. We’re excited to share all that UB has to offer while bringing people together in ways that make our community so special.”
Free parking is available in the Townsend and Parker lots.
UB staff, faculty and students who would like to present informational tables at UB on the Green can contact Government and Community Relations.
