Reserve SMART Facilities and Equipment

Equipment reservation and use policies
  • Reservation requests must be made at least two business days in advance of the project start date and time.
  • Space and equipment are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.  In certain circumstances (e.g., an imminent proposal deadline), there may be a need to rearrange the testing schedule.  Any such requests need to be made to SMART administration.
  • Orientation is required prior to equipment use. Researchers must obtain proper training from the lead equipment user or SMART technician before using the equipment.
  • If equipment is damaged or broken, the researcher is responsible to work with SMART administration to develop a plan to either repair the equipment or replace it.  This may include some financial obligations depending upon the nature of the incident.
