Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funds UB project to build guidelines for promoting data equity for food equity

UB’s Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab, backed by nearly $800,000 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is exploring how data equity impacts food equity. The three-year project will study food system dashboards and create guidelines to empower marginalized communities with better food-related information.

NOAA funds UB project to study climate adaptation in Alaska

UB researchers are partnering with community in Alaska as part of a $300,000 grant from the NOAA Climate Program Office. Through this project, they hope to understand how climate change may impact Buffalo in a part of the country where those effects are already occurring and to adapt housing while supporting people in their homes.
Bacteria found to eat forever chemicals — and even some of their toxic byproducts
