Zetasizer - Malvern Panalytical Advance Ultra (Red Label)

A computer on a desk sits beside the Zetasizer machine.

The Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer Advance Ultra (Red Label) is a light scattering system that measures particle and molecular size, particle charge and particle concentration. It is suitable for a wide range of materials, including difficult-to-measure viruses and virus-like particles (VLPs), requires no or little dilution, and is quick to use.

This system integrates non-invasive back scatter (NIBS) and multi-angle dynamic light scattering (MADLS®) technologies, enabling highly accurate characterization of samples with broad size range (1nm-15um), low concentration and low volume (down to 3ul). MADLS® capability is valuable for extending the size range, and for characterizing materials with broader size distributions. This is a fundamental capability that is substantially beneficial to research in nanomaterials, particularly nanomaterials for biomedical applications.

Features

  • MADLS® delivers an angular-independent particle size distribution (PSD) with increased resolution by combining scattering information from multiple angles.
    • Enables an automated series of single-angle measurements: backscatter, side scatter and forward scatter, that are combined to provide a single PSD.
    • Provides a higher resolution technique than other DLS instruments.
    • Provides improved insight into all particle size populations present in the sample.
  • Particle Size Measurements:
    • Particle size range of 0.3 nm to 10 μm
    • Minimum volume: 3 μL
  • Zeta Potential Measurements:
    • Particle size range: 3.8 nm to 100 μm
    • Minimum volume: 20 μL
