SEESL Accreditation

SEESL is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS; www.iasonline.org) as an Approved Testing Laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025: "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories". 


As such, SEESL complies with  industry-standard practices in the areas of procedural documentation, customer service, technical competence and protection of proprietary information. SEESL is assessed by IAS every two years, and any deficiencies or deviations from standard practice are documented by the assessor and addressed by SEESL within a defined time frame. SEESL's accreditation is critical to its viability as a laboratory that attracts industry clients that manufacture a broad spectrum of products that require qualification by shake-table testing under industry-standard protocols. By extension, SEESL's accreditation ensures that experimental results obtained from sponsored research projects meet or exceed industry-wide quality standards.

  • Structural GR-63-CORE NEBS Requirements: physical protection
  • ICC ES AC156: Seismic certification by shake-table testing of nonstructural components (test methods referenced in section 6.0)
  • IEEE Std. 693: Recommended Practice for Seismic Design of Substations (testing practices only)

  • Earthquake Simulation Shake Tables

    For earthquake simulations, one of the services we provide are shake tables. Currently, there are two, relocatable 7.0m x 7.0m platforms with six-degrees of freedom. Each table is capable of 50 tons payload. Find out more about our shake tables.

  • Wind Tunnel

    The multi-fan wind tunnel is is controlled by 64 inertia array (8x8) of small axial fans. These fans can be controlled individually or in groups using the the supplied software. Each individual fan can reach a maximum of 5,500rpm (rotations per minute). Learn more about it.

  • Dynamic and Static Actuators

    SEESL is equipped with many large-scale, high-performance, dynamic and static actuators. These actuators provide the ability to conduct dynamic, pseudo-dynamic, and hybrid pseudo-dynamic testing. Find out more about our actuator capabilities.

  • Furnace
    6/11/26

    The electric furnace has a maximum operating temperature of 1,000°C (1,800 °F) and is designed to accommodate a fast ramp-up heating rate. The furnace roof is removable and includes a central closure hole to allow placement and force loading of vertically oriented element. The closure hole on one side allows for placement and loading of a horizontally oriented element. Learn more about it.
