NBC News quoted Siwei Lyu in a story about copyright and deepfake concerns with the app Sora, which OpenAI just released. Lyu noted that while OpenAI claimed to have responsible-use measures such as visible and invisible watermarks and tracing tools for Sora-made images, more testing is needed to judge their effectiveness. “The invisible watermark and tracing tools can only be tested internally, so it is hard to judge how well they work at this point,” Lyu said. Yahoo!Tech also posted the story.
