Thousands of international students arrive at UB for fall semester

National Public Radio interviewed A. Scott Weber, UB provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, on the arrival of more than 4,000 international students at UB. “What they bring to the university is this incredibly rich, diverse cultural experience for students who may not have ever been outside of New York State,” said UB Provost A. Scott Weber. The story, which featured interviews with several international students attending orientation activities at UB, focused on UB’s welcome programs, as well as the delays that students faced in applying for their visas.
