Fifty years after Studs Terkel published 'Hard Times'... here we are again

National Public Radio quoted Michael Frisch in a piece commermorating the 50th anniversary of the publication of Studs Terkels's Hard Times about the Great Depression. Frisch said, “People living on the edge of history and trying to figure it out as they go along - I think that's what we're going through right now because we are all over the edge, and they were over the edge in the Depression. And we're living it right now.”
