Young women of color lead activist charge

A story in the Christian Science Monitor interviewed Victoria Wolcott about young women of color taking the reins of grassroots protests against racism and for an end to police violence. “When I talk to my historian friends, we aren’t saying, ‘We’ve seen this before’” – which is historians’ default comment. “This is distinctive.” Wolcott added, “There is more recognition and understanding that those voices have been sublimated in the past.”
