An article in Business First about concerns local college leaders have about President Trump’s immigration stance and his efforts to pull the plug on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program – or DACA – looks at the reaction of several local college presidents with international roots and reports that Satish K. Tripathi grew up in a small Indian village before moving to Canada to continue his university studies. “We at UB have always upheld this commitment to providing equal opportunity for all students to pursue their life goals,” he said. “Providing a permanent legal solution for DACA participants is imperative.”
