Will law enforcement support Trump's immigration plans?

The Atlantic explores how law enforcement officials will handle Donald Trump’s pledge to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. Rick Su, law professor, says in many cases, federal immigration agents rely on local and state police forces to identify individuals who are in violation of immigration laws, and if so, to turn them over to the Department of Homeland Security’s immigration-enforcement arm. Su says local law enforcement in this country encompasses the vast majority of law-enforcement resources.
