Rethinking concussion treatment: Exercise better than total rest, researchers say

John Leddy, director of UB’s Concussion Management Clinic, was interviewed on CBS Radio News about a clinical trial focusing on adolescents to determine whether low-level exercise may be much better than total rest when it comes to treating concussions. The interview is not available online. An article also appeared in the Syracuse Post-Standard.  In addition, an Associated Press article reports UB is recruiting 13- to 17-year-olds who have recently had a concussion for the trial. The article appeared in news outlets around the country, including the Albany Times Union, San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle and Seattle Post Intelligencer.
