Daniel Antonius, assistant professor of psychiatry and director of the division of forensic psychiatry, is quoted in a story in TIME Magazine about the spate of movie theater shootings and the copycat aspect of some recent incidents. He noted that shooters may choose movie theaters for specific reasons: “I think movies can represent certain world views or political views that it’s easy for these shooters to latch onto as a sort of symbol of whatever they are for or against,” he said.
