An article in The Washington Post about the $15 minimum wage for New York’s fast-food workers quotes Isaac Ehrlich, SUNY Distinguished Professor, UB Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Economics, who discussed the likelihood that it may lead to a renewed push to raise the state minimum wage across the board. “In terms of economic efficiency, it would be better to impose it generally,” he said.
